Rooibos brews into a warm amber-red cup with a smooth, naturally sweet and nutty flavour. Unlike black tea, it contains no caffeine and very low tannins, which means it never turns bitter — steep it as long as you like. That also makes it a wonderful evening tea, and a gentle choice for anyone cutting back on caffeine.
Rooibos (or redbush tea, as it's often called) is naturally rich in antioxidants and has been enjoyed in South Africa for generations. It takes milk and honey beautifully, works brilliantly as a chai-style latte base, and makes a refreshing iced tea in summer.

Directions: Add 1 teaspoon to 250–300ml of boiling water and infuse for 3–5 minutes. Longer steeping deepens the flavour without bitterness. Delicious hot or chilled, with or without milk.
Try it as a rooibos latte: Brew a strong cup (2 teaspoons, 5+ minutes), add warm frothed milk and a little honey. A naturally caffeine-free alternative to coffee or chai.
